Booker T. Washington Against The Slave System

Booker T. Washington was a slave until about the age of seven. However, he came to know enough about the slave system of his time and was able to speak against it. He said that because slaves (black people) did the entire manual work, the masters (white people) lost ability to work with their hands or mechanically. He also said that slaves didn’t care much about doing a good job on the land. Stimulation was not there because it wasn’t the blacks’ plantation, so they ended doing bad and mediocre things. Slaves also lived with a lack of everything, basically. Including a good family structure, for slaves weren’t allowed to marry. The very little food they had tempted the slaves to steal too much, for they all wanted to live a better life, a free life.
